Real estate is my second career. Before becoming a Spokane Realtor I successfully completed a career in the US Navy. I am a native of Washington State and enlisted straight from high school. The Navy quickly recognized my strong technical and analytical aptitude and sent me to electronics maintenance school. This led to my work as an aircraft carrier based radar technician. During this time, I was responsible for the maintenance and repairs on the Automatic Carrier Landing System (ACLS) at assignments such as USS CONSTELLATION (CV 64) and Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Oak Harbor, WA. As an electronics technician working on complex air traffic control systems I developed and exercised a keen analytical mind while troubleshooting and repairing these systems. It is this analytical skill that I now bring to bear in assisting my clients buy or sell homes in the Spokane area.
With an unquenchable thirst for learning, I began attending college classes during off-duty hours and eventually earned a degree in business administration, majoring in accounting from Chapman University and graduated magna cum laude. Based on my outstanding service record and now having a college diploma I was selected for promotion to the officer ranks and was sent to Officer Candidate School, ultimately becoming a Navy Supply Corps Officer. I still retain that thirst for learning, now continually focusing on learning more about the real estate industry by frequently taking formal classes, reading trade journals, studying local market conditions and visiting scores of homes on the market each and every month.
As a Supply Officer, I was responsible for all aspects of logistics support for my ships in roles as Disbursing Officer in USS MERRILL (DD 976) and Supply Officer in USS CORONADO (AGF 11) and achieved outstanding results at every assignment. My Supply Officer tours also included Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego, Defense Fuel Region Europe in Wiesbaden Germany, Afloat Training Group Pacific and Mobile Security Group in San Diego, CA. As a paymaster and stores officer for my ship I had to balance my books to the penny and I learned a lot about attending to the details of each transaction. Now I use those skills preparing offers and counteroffers and tracking the progress of a transaction from the initial offer to the closing table. After twenty-three years of military service I retired as a Lieutenant Commander from the Navy and moved back to Spokane, WA.
Next, I initially took a little time to complete a long term goal earning a Biblical Studies degree at Moody Bible Institute – Spokane. Then, with a strong interest in real estate, I began investing in rental properties and became a landlord. This uncovered my strong passion in helping others make their real estate dreams in Spokane become a reality! Now I invest my time assisting others buy and sell their homes, generally referred as the most important investment. I believe my integrity and good name is my most important asset. You can trust me to put my client’s interest above all other interests and to work diligently to achieve their goals.
